What a lame blogger I am, I know.  Believe it or not I am actually a busy person. Anyway, now that I've recovered from strep throat I'm ready to impart my words of Wizards wisdom on my faithful 3 readers again. 

So...with that said, let's start with the embarrassment of last night in Houston.  Looking at the box score all-in-all not a bad game.  The one glaring statistic: field goal percentage.  Here we have the Houston Rockets, a team now 8 games below .500.  A team that normally averages 90.9 points per game, the second lowest in the league.  A team that averages a 43% field goal percentage.  So far this season the Wizards have allowed them to shoot 55.1% fg percentage in January to go for 123 points and last night the Rockets ended up with 105 points and a 55.7% fg percentage.  That is just EMBARRASSING!!  This shows the absolute abysmal state of our defense.  Yao was unstoppable.  I know he's been on a little tear lately...but they were utterly unable to keep the ball out of the paint.  Lucky for us Yao has a mild case of SHS (Stone Hands Syndrome for those of you unfamiliar with the disease; first diagnosed in Etan Thomas of the Wizards) and ended up with 7 turnovers otherwise he could've had his first 50 point game.  This summer Ernie has to find us a big man that isn't completely worthless.  It's so frustrating to see them play so hard against some teams and just fold against others.  They have to be more consistent if they're ever going to be any kind of a force in this league.
